Fireflies are a wonder of summer nights, and a popular photography subject in Japan. But not nearly as popular in the US.
As a photography subject, fireflies can be challenging as they only appear for a couple of weeks and each image is actually a composite of many photos taken over an hour or two.
In 2019 I took my first successful firefly photo. I’m hoping to continue photographing these magical insects in 2020.
